This is a very generic question and I'm not sure you understand the basic concepts of Regions along a Timeline.

  • If you want to play/record something at 3 min, put the Playhead there and record something or copy new Regions to that place.
  • If you have other Regions at that place , select them and move them to the right (later) along those Tracks.
