Post-Hardcore- / Metalcore- / Emo band from Miami, Florida, United States. Founded in 1997. In 2010, after they released five full-length albums, they announced a hiatus to explore other interests. In May 2015, Poison the Well reformed for two reunion shows. In June / July 2016 they played five North American shows.

The Tropic Rot is the fifth (and thus far final) studio album by American hardcore punk band Poison the Well. The album was released on July 7, 2009 through Ferret Music.[7] The album was originally intended to be produced by J. Robbins, however due to a family emergency he had to be replaced by Steve Evetts.[8]

The Tropic Rot received positive reviews and peaked at number 180 on the Billboard 200.[9]
